How to Add Windows Batch File to New Context Menu in Windows 10

A .bat file is a batch file that consists of a series of commands to be executed by the command line interpreter, stored in a plain text file. 

The New context menu allows users to quickly create new files, folders, and shortcuts. You can right click or press and hold on your desktop or in any folder window, and click/tap on New to open the New context menu.

By default, Windows Batch File is not in the New click context menu. Adding "Windows Batch File" to the New context menu will make it easy for users to be able to quickly create a new batch file on demand ready to be edited afterwards.

This tutorial will show you how to add or remove Windows Batch File to the New context menu for all users inWindows 10.

You must be signed in as an administrator to be able to add or remove "Windows Batch File" from the New context menu.

Here's How:

1. Do step 2 (add) or step 3 (remove) below for what you would like to do.

 2. To Add "Windows Batch File" to New Context Menu

A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

NOTE: This is the default setting.

A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

4. Save the .reg file to your desktop.

5. Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

6. If prompted, click on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.

7. Sometimes it may take a moment before this New context menu item is actually added or removed. If not, then restart the computer to apply.

8. You can now delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.

How to Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10

   Information

Fast startup (aka: hybrid boot or hybrid shutdown) is turned on by default in Windows and is a setting that helps your PC start up faster after shutdown. Windows does this by saving system info to a file (hiberfil.sys) upon shutdown so when you start your PC again, Windows uses that system info to resume your PC instead of restarting it.

This tutorial will show you how to turn fast startup on or off for all users in Windows 10.

You must be signed in as an administrator to be able to turn fast startup on or off.

   Note

The fast startup setting doesn’t apply to Restart. You need to shut down and then start your PC again for fast startup to take effect.

   Warning

If you disable hibernate, then it will also disable fast startup.

CONTENTS:

• Option One: To Turn On or Off Fast Startup in System Settings
• Option Two: To Turn On or Off Fast Startup using a BAT file

 OPTION ONE 

To Turn On or Off Fast Startup in System Settings

1. Open the Control Panel (icons view), and click on the Power Options icon.

2. Click/tap on the Choose what the power buttons do link on the left side. (see screenshot below)

3. Click/tap on the Change settings that are currently unavailable link at the top. (see screenshot below)

4. If prompted by UAC, click/tap on Yes. 

5. Do step 6 or step 7 below for what you would like to do.

 6. To Turn On Fast Startup

NOTE: This is the default setting.

A) Under Shutdown settings, check the Turn on fast startup box, click/tap on the Save changes button, and go to step 8 below. (see screenshot below step 8)

 7. To Turn Off Fast Startup

A) Under Shutdown settings, uncheck the Turn on fast startup box, click/tap on the Save changes button, and go to step 8 below. (see screenshot below step 8)

8. You can now close the System Settings window if you like.

   Note

If the Turn on fast startup setting is not listed, then you will need to close the System Settings window, enable hibernate, then start over at step 1 again.

 OPTION TWO 

To Turn On or Off Fast Startup using a BAT file

   Note

The .bat files below will change the registry key and value below.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power

HiberbootEnabled DWORD

0 = Turn off fast startup
1 = Turn on fast startup

1. Do step 2 or step 3 below for what you would like to do.

 2. To Turn On Fast Startup

NOTE: This is the default setting.

A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the BAT file below, and go to step 4 below.

Turn_On_Fast_Startup.bat

 3. To Turn Off Fast Startup

A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the BAT file below, and go to step 4 below.

Turn_Off_Fast_Startup.bat

4. Save the .bat file to your desktop.

5. Right click or press and hold on the downloaded .bat file, and click/tap on Run as administrator.

6. If prompted, click/tap on Run and Yes (UAC).
NOTE: If you like, you can stop getting the Run prompt by unblocking the downloaded .bat file.

7. You will now notice your screen flicker as a command prompt quickly opens and closes to apply the registry changes.

8. You can now delete the downloaded .bat file if you like.

Add, Remove, Edit Context Menu items in Windows 7 / 8

The Right Click Menu or the Context Menu is the menu, which appears, when you right-click on the desktop or a file or folder in Windows. This menu gives you added functionality by offering you actions you can take with the item. Most programs like to stuff their commands in this menu. While they can be useful, the problem is that even when you uninstall the programs, they fail to remove the respective context menu item, making the menu slow and appear cluttered.

Edit Windows Context Menu

If you wish to reduce this clutter or remove items from this menu which are no longer useful, you can do so. Most programs will offer the explorer integration in their Settings, and if you look around, you may be able to find it and disable the explorer context-menu integration. If not, you will have to edit the registry or use a third-party freeware.

Using Registry Editor

Run regedit to open the Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

Hereyou need to simply delete the keys you don’t want. There are other registry locations too where this data may be stored. To know more about the other location, please refer this post on mvps.org.

You can also use 3rd-party freeware context menu editors to remove context menu items, or to add or edit them..

2) ContextEdit will allow you easily control the items that appear on your context menu of Windows Explorer.

The context menu often contains numerous rarely-used commands. These commands come from one of two places: shell commands stored within the system Registry, and context menu handlers.

3) You can also try ShellExtView or  ShellMenuView. They are small utilities that display the list of static menu items that appear in the context menu when you right-click a file/folder in Windows Explorer, and allow you to easily disable or edit unwanted menu items.

4) File Menu Tools (link removed) lets you add, delete & customize the context menu items of the Windows Explorer – but it NOW comes bundled with a lot of crapware, according to the comments below.

It lets configure the following aspects:

• Add some build-in utilities in order to do operations over files and folders.
• Add customized commands which let run external applications, copy/move to a specific folder or delete specific file types.
• Configure the “Sends to…” sub menu”.
• Enable/disable the commands which are added by other applications to the context menu and much more !

Simply download the portable freeware app MenuMaid and uncheck the items you don’t want to show up. It also lets you disable or remove items from the Internet Explorer context menu. Router কী?

সহজ কথায় Router হল আপনি যখন কোন ভিন্ন নেটওয়ার্ক অ্যাড করবেন একটি পিসি আর একটি পিসি এর সাথে তখন আপনার Router প্রয়োজন হবে।

ধরুন আপনি এ ক্লাস দিয়ে একটি নেটওয়ার্ক তৈরি করছেন তার মধ্যে ১০ টি পিসি সংযুক্ত আছে। আর বি ক্লাস দিয়ে আপনি ১২ টি পিসি সংযুক্ত করেছেন এখন চাচ্ছেন আপনি ঐ ১০ টি পিসি এর সাথে যোগাযোগ করবেন তখন Router ছাড়া এটা সম্বভ না। আজকাল বাজারে অনেক দরনের Router

পাওয়া যায় কিছু নুমনা দেখুনঃ

বাম থেকে শুরু করে ২ ,৩ নাম্বার টা অনেক দামি Router । Router এর পিছনে অনেক গুলু পোর্ট থাকে এ গুলুর ব্যাবহার আস্তে আস্তে জানতে পারবেন ।

এখন আসল কথায় আসি ২ /৩/৪/৫ ...।। ভিন্ন নেটওয়ার্ক এর মধ্যে যোগাযোগ করতে চাইলে আপনার অবশ্যই Router লাগবে। একটা কথা মনে রাখবেন Router পিসি তে Connect  করে কনফিগারেশন করতে হয় ভুল কনফিগারেশন করলে Router এর bios নষ্ট হয়ে যায়। যা ঠিক করা অনেক খরচের  ব্যাপার।

আজকের বিষয়ঃ B  class দিয়ে networking   ( SUB NETTING)

আপনারা ইতিমধ্যে জেনেছেন যে বি ক্লাস আইপি কোনটি

B class ip:  ১৭২.১৬.0.0 থেকে ১৭২.৩১.০.০

তাই বি ক্লাস এর একটি আইপি নেই ১৭২.১৬.০.০   নাম্বার এর শেষে ০ থাকলে এটি একটি  নেটওয়ার্ক অ্যাড্রেস বজতে হবে।

SUBNETTING কি ????

সহজ কথায় subnetting  হল আপনি যখন একটি অফিস এ ভিন্ন ভাবে  ২/৩/৪/৫/৬/৭/৮/.........। টি নেট তৈরি করতে যাবেন তখন আপনার subnetting   দরকার  আপনি subnetting   ছাড়া ভিন্ন ভাবে নেট তৈরি করতে পারবেন না। তাহলে দেখা যাক subnetting   কীভাবে করে ??

B CLASS SUBNETTING :

১৭২.১৬.০.0  এটি একটি B class ip  আপনারা জানেন ।এই B class ip কে এখন subnetting    করব ঠিক এ ভাবে

172	16	32	0
৮ টি বিট	৮ টি বিট	৮ টি বিট	৮ টি বিট
১২৮+৬৪+৩২+১৬+৮+৪+২+১=২৫৫

মোট বিট ৮+৮+৮+৮= ৩২ বিট এবং একটি বিট ভাঙলে নেট হয় ২৫৬ টি

০ হল নেট অ্যাড্রেস আর ২৫৫ হল broad cast address  তাই ০ এবং ২৫৫  কে হিসেব করা হয় না তাই নেট দরা হয় ২৫৪ টা

এখন আমরা ৩ টা বিট নিব ১২৮+৬৪+৩২+১৬+৮+৪+২+১

১২৮+৬৪+৩২= ২২৪

এখান থেকে ৩ টি বিট নিলাম যার মান হল ২২৪  আর বাকি ৫ টি বিট রেখে দিলাম । কেন ৩ টি বিট নিলাম ??

আমি নেট অ্যাড্রেস তৈরি  করব ৮ টি তাই আমাকে এই সুত্র মনে রেখে নেট অ্যাড্রেস  তৈরি করতে হবে

• N= 2N ( 2 POWER N)  এটা নেট এর সুত্র
• N= 2 3 (Cube) ( ২ পাওয়ার ৩)
• N= 8

আর host ( computer  এর সংখ্যা) হবে Host= 2 power n - ২  এখানে ( n=5)   কারন ৮-৩=৫

= ২ power ৫-২

= ৩২-২

= ৩০

তাহলে আমরা একটি নেট অ্যাড্রেস এ পাচ্ছি ৩০ টি কম্পিউটার যুক্ত করার ক্ষমতা । তাহলে নেট range হবে  ২৫৬-২২৪= ৩২

তার মানে আইপি গুলু হবে

• 172.16.০.0 -   Network Address ----  ১
• 172.16.32.0--    ্‌ ,, ,, ,,, ,,,  --২
• 172.16.64.0---- ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,৩
• 172.16.96.0---  ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,৪
• 172.16.128.0-  ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,৫

আর নিতে পারব না কারন আমার ৩ বিট এর যোগ ফল ( ১২৮+৬৪+৩২=২২৪)

তাই ২২৪ এর বেশী নিতে পারব না। দেখুন আমাদের ৮ টি নেটওয়ার্ক তৈরি হয়েছে ।।।

১ নং নেটওয়ার্ক দেখুন এবং কথা গুলু ভালো করে বুজেন দেখবেন কোন প্রবলেম হবে না

আর যেতে পারব না কারন। আমার ২ নাম্বার আইপি শরু হইছে  ১৭2.১৬.৩২.০ থেকে। তাই  network address and broad cast address বাদ দিলে আমরা একটা নেট অ্যাড্রেস থেকে ৩০ টি (Host) মানে কম্পিউটার connect করতে পারব।

১৭2.১৬.০.০ ------ ১৭2.১৬.০.৩১ পজন্ত  ৩০ টি আইপি পাই ২ টি বাদ গেল

১৭2.১৬.০.০ এবং ১৭2.১৬.৩১.০

আপনি যদি এই  subnetting  টি বুজেন  তাহলে বাকি subnetting   বুঝতে কষ্ট হবে না।

এখন  Tutorial  টি দেখুন আমি এই আইপি গলু ব্যাবহার করে কীভাবে ৮ টি নেটওয়ার্ক  তৈরি করি । প্রতি নেটওয়ার্ক এ আপনি পিসি অ্যাড করতে পারবেন ৩০ টি কিন্ত  আমি ১ টি অ্যাড করে দেখাব । কারন এটা আনেক সময়ের বাপার ।আপনি যদি একটি পিসি চন্নেচত করতে পারেন  packet tracer software দিয়া

তাহলে বাস্তব ও পারবেন ইনশাআল্লাহ

ইতিমধ্যে আপনারা সবাই packet tracer software টা সংগ্রহ করছেন   এটি দিয়া আজ নেটওয়ার্ক করব

প্রথমইpacket tracer software টা চালু করুন তারপর 

এখানে ক্লিক করুন  এটা কে সুইচ বলে  কারুন একটা নেটওয়ার্ক করতে  একটি সুইচ দরকার হয়  তাই আমরা একটা সুইচ এর ওপর মাউস রেখে ক্লিক করে ডান পাশে সুইচ আনবো  ঠিক এভাবে

তারপর ২৯৬০ সুইচ টা ক্লিক করে এভাবে সাজিয়ে নিব

আমরা আগেই জেনেছি যে ২ টি ভিন্ন ডিভাইস হলে আমাদের straight cable  লাগবে  তাই আমরা  straight cable দিয়া ২ টি পিসি কে একটি সুইচ এর মাধ্যমে connect korci

তারপর

২ টি পিসি থেকে যে কোন আক্তির ওপর মাউস রেখে ক্লিক করলে এই PCO MENU  টা আসবে

তারপর

ডেস্কটপ এ ক্লিক করব     তারপর

IP CONFIGURATION  এ ক্লিক করে আইপি লিখব   এভাবে ২ টি পিসি এর ওপর মাউস রেখে আইপি অ্যাড্রেস লিখব

তারপর

ডান পাশ থেকে  খামটি নিয়া একটি কম্পিউটার এ ছেড়ে দেন  যখন Successful লেখা আসবে তাখন  বুজবেন নেটওয়ার্ক ১০০ % হইছে
